During the first 17 events, competitors in the NHRA's four professional categories - Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle - will try to secure one of the top eight spots in the points standings, which will secure a spot in the series' "Countdown to the Championship." The most stunning thing about the HSV and FPV show stands in 2006 is that both Holden's and Ford's performance arms were outshone by other manufacturers. Toyota's Aurion Sports Concept is a realistic glimpse of how the performance version of the company's large car might look when it launches in Australia in the third quarter of 2007.
